How Nemu Identifies Influencers

Influencer identification happens in two complementary ways:

1. Identification via UTMs (Nemu attribution)

Nemu automatically identifies influencers based on the UTM Source. Anything containing variations like:
  • influencer
  • influenciador
  • influencers
  • equivalent variations
is automatically classified as influencer traffic and appears in the table. The UTM Medium is used to identify the specific influencer (e.g., influencer name).
If the traffic doesn’t use a source related to influencer, it won’t be automatically identified as such.

2. Identification via coupons

In addition to UTMs, Nemu also identifies sales via discount coupons, integrated directly with the store. Currently, automatic coupon tracking is available for integrations with: If you use another platform, contact the Nemu team to check availability. Revenue generated by a coupon is linked to the influencer to which the coupon was associated.

  • UTM Source: Traffic source identifier
    Example: influencer
  • UTM Medium: Specific influencer identifier
Usually the influencer’s name, this value can be automatically generated based on the influencer’s name
Influencers
Whenever Nemu identifies sessions with this UTM combination, they will be associated with the influencer.

Discount Coupons

You can add one or more coupons associated with the influencer.
  • Each coupon directly links sales made with it to the influencer
  • It’s possible to add multiple coupons for the same influencer
Influencers Thus, revenue generated via coupon starts to compose that influencer’s data.

Editing an Influencer

In the Influencers Table, on the right side of each row, you find the edit option. Influencers When editing an influencer, it is possible to:
  • Change the name
  • Adjust the description
  • Modify the color
  • Edit UTMs
  • Add or remove coupons
Changes take effect immediately for future analyses.

How to Use in Daily Life

  • Identify which influencers generate the most revenue
  • Compare impact by attribution model
  • Evaluate performance via link vs. via coupon
  • Understand influencers who assist conversions
  • Make decisions about partnerships and investments
